What does the future hold?

Updated: Jan 2

Snow covered mountains are reflected in a serene lake

What does the year ahead hold in store? We cannot look into a crystal ball, but we can determine what we would like our future to be and set specific goals and action steps to help us make our vision a reality.

New beginnings serve as prompts to reflect on our goals.

New beginnings, like the start of a new year, serve as prompts to take time to reflect on where we’ve been and where we are going. I encourage you to take time in January to reflect on your journey as a communicator.

  • What are your communication strengths?

  • What areas of communication do you need to build your knowledge or skills?

  • What is a goal for this year related to communication that you would like to achieve?

For those who are nutrition communicators, I invite you to write your reflections guided by the “Write Your Story” document found on the “Our Community” page. The writing prompts will help you put into words what led you to where you are now and where you want to go in the future.

Share your story and inspire others.

Please consider sharing your story so that you can inspire others. Nutrition communicators work in so many varied settings with people from all walks of life.

  • Who do you reach with your nutrition messages? How do you reach them?

  • What are some aspects of nutrition communication you hope to do in the future?

Write your story. Share it. Inspire and be inspired.

Did you know that the practice of making resolutions at the start of a new year dates back to ancient Babylonia? I wonder if they were any more successful at honoring their resolutions 4,000 years ago. What stories they could tell!
